Last month, we shared the first look at Hellboy: The Crooked Man. Today, we have an update: the film now has a UK theatrical premiere date for September.
The film, written by comic creator Mike Mignola himself, boasts a new take on the “red right hand.” Jack Kesy steps into the iconic role, following in the footsteps of Ron Perlman and David Harbour. Directed by Brian Taylor, the movie stars Jefferson White (“Yellowstone”) as Tom Ferrell. Adaline Rudoplh (Resident Evil), Joseph Marcell (“Fresh Prince”), and Leigh MacNamara (The Gentlemen) round out the cast.
Hellboy: The Crooked Man is an R-rated thrill ride set in the chilling atmosphere of 1950s America. Hellboy is enlisted to aid rookie paranormal researcher Bobbie Jo Song in transporting a deadly creature. However, their mission soon goes awry when an accident leaves them stranded in the forests of rural Appalachia. A place where a small community resides, haunted by demonic forces. With all clues pointing towards witchcraft as the culprit, Hellboy and his allies must hunt down the source of this evil – the ‘Crooked Man’ who has been sent to Earth to collect souls for the devil.
The trailer offers a glimpse into a dark, twisted world of supernatural horrors. With its blend of horror, action, and dark humor, Hellboy: The Crooked Man is a must-see for fans of the genre and the iconic character.
While we are still waiting for the US release date, we can report that those in the UK will see it debut in theaters on September 27, 2024.
