Mary Dauterman‘s acclaimed indie feature debut, the movie Booger, is set to gross out audiences everywhere. The film blends body horror with dark comedy. It’s a horror comedy you don’t want to miss, and luckily, you don’t have to wait long to see it.

Booger stars Grace Glowicki (Tito and Strawberry Mansion) in a widely praised performance. The film follows a friendship, a tragic loss, and a supernatural transformation that will leave you squirming. I hope you have a strong stomach.

New Yorker Anna has just suffered the sudden and unexpected death of her best friend and roommate, Izzy. She’s trying to handle this loss when Izzy’s cat, Booger, runs away. Anna goes on a desperate mission to find the cat. However, in the process, she is bitten on the hand. Soon, she begins to take on feline characteristics, and her work life and relationships go downhill.

Garrick Bernard (Single Drunk Female), Marcia DeBonis (Sometimes I Think About Dying and 13 Going on 30), David Rysdahl (from Oppenheimer and Fargo), and indie cult icon Heather Matarazzo (from Welcome to the Dollhouse and Scream 3) also star.

Lexi Tannenholtz (Shudder’s Bad Things) produces. The movie is executive produced by Neon Heart Productions (Cora Bora), Ley Line Entertainment (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Sanctuary Content, One Two Twenty Entertainment (Joyland), and Lizzie Shapiro (Shiva Baby).

Prepare to be disgusted and delighted. Booger is a unique and unforgettable film that will stay with you long after the credits roll. Just don’t eat while you watch it. The movie Booger opens in select US theaters and arrives on VOD on Friday, September 13, from Dark Sky Films.
