Plain Pictures announced that the highly anticipated thriller Blood Star will make its UK premiere at Grimmfest this October. After its film festival debut, the film will be available on all major digital platforms.
Lawrence Jacomelli directed Blood Star, which features Britni Camacho, known for her role in I’m a Virgo, and John Schwab (from Master of the Air). Sydney Brumfield, Travis Lincoln Cox, Felix Merback, and Wyomi Reed round out the cast.
This intense survival thriller follows a young pickpocket who is driving cross-country to reunite with her abusive boyfriend. Her journey takes a terrifying turn when she is targeted by a small-town sheriff, who shoots her off the road. A deadly game of cat-and-mouse ensues as she must use her street smarts to outwit her pursuer and survive.
