Blumhouse’s psychological thriller Speak No Evil opens in theaters this September and promises a terrifying descent into madness.

What begins as a seemingly idyllic weekend getaway for an American family turns into a living nightmare. Things turn dark when they accept an invitation from a charming British couple they meet on vacation. Visiting their new friends was meant to be fun for both families. Instead, one family will experience pure terror that leads to a fight for survival.

James McAvoy (Split) stars as Paddy and Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale), his wife Ciara, whose hospitality masks a sinister darkness. Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) and Scoot McNairy (Argo) star as the American couple, Louise and Ben, trapped in a growing sense of unease.

Director James Watkins, known for his work on Eden Lake and The Woman in Black, discusses the movie and its characters in the featurette released today. Watch it below.

Speak No Evil, a tense and disturbing exploration of human behavior, is based on the critically acclaimed Danish horror film Gæsterne. Watch it in theaters on September 13, 2024.
