The long-awaited trailer for the movie based Stephen King‘s classic Salem’s Lot has arrived, giving viewers a glimpse of the chilling film. Gordon Lightfoot’s “Sundown” plays in the background as the sun sets. We see glimpses of horrors that await us. Filled with shadows and ominous warnings, the trailer teases the undead rising, out for blood. Judging be the trailer, Salem’s Lot was totally worth the wait.
The film is set in 1975, when King’s original novel was published. Salem’s Lot follows author Ben Mears. Ben returns to his hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot. Haunted by a childhood incident, Mears seeks inspiration for his next book. Ben soon discovers that the town is being terrorized by a bloodthirsty vampire and its loyal servant.
Previous adaptations of Salem’s Lot have been successful. However, this new version promises a fresh take on the classic tale. Fans of King’s work and horror movie enthusiasts alike should be excited to see writer-director Gary Dauberman‘s (IT, The Nun) new vision.
The film’s impressive ensemble cast includes Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, Bill Camp, Alfre Woodard. Spencer Treat Clark, Pilou Asbaek, William Sadler, John Benjamin Hickey, Nicholas Crovetti, and Debra Christofferson round out the cast.
