The hype for 50 Cent’s new gruesome horror flick, Skillhouse, also referred to as Skill House, is reaching a fever pitch! One of the movie’s stars, Jacob Skidmore, is firing back at any early doubters. He’s promising a level of gore so intense that it literally floored a crew member.

Crew Member Down

The movie’s chilling premise sees ten influencers lured into a sinister “content house.” There, they’re forced to compete in deadly social media challenges. In an exclusive chat with TheMirror.com, Jacob Skidmore spilled the beans on how wild things get on set. “During one scene,” he revealed, “a cameraman passed out because of the gore. The crew was like, ‘OK, we’re gonna come back to this scene later.”

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, is stepping back into the brutal world of horror with a film that throws a modern twist on classic scares. Skillhouse plunges into the world of social media influencers, with 50 Cent himself appearing alongside rising star Jacob Skidmore and social media heavyweights Bryce Hall and Hannah Stocking. With Josh Stolberg, the director of Spiral: From the Book of Saw, is at the helm, you can bet your bottom dollar on some serious blood and guts.

While some critics have raised eyebrows at the plot’s blend of contemporary influencer culture with old-school horror vibes reminiscent of Stolberg’s Saw background, Jacob is quick to defend the movie’s vision.

“The movie is a mixture of a modern storyline with the influencers and old-fashioned 80’s slasher movie,” he explained. “Mixing the best of both worlds. That’s the vision from the producers. It was so much fun to shoot. The director Josh, who did the ‘Saw’ movies, was an honor to work with. I was blown away. All I can say is wait till you see it, it’s very, very, bloody and gory.”

More Than Just a Rapper

This isn’t 50 Cent’s first involvement with the film industry. He’s starred in several films including the 2024 crime thriller Boneyard. He also starred in The Expendables 4, Den of Thieves, South Paw, and the TV series “Power”. In total, he has 183 acting credits. This proves that he is just as much an actor as he is a rapper.

Out This Summer

Mark your calendars, horror hounds, because Skillhouse is set to unleash its gory mayhem in theaters on July 11th. Get ready for a blood-soaked ride that might make you think twice about chasing those likes!
