Tonight marks a chilling new chapter in monster movie history! Leigh Whannell, the visionary writer-director who brought us the critically acclaimed and terrifying The Invisible Man, is unleashing his latest cinematic nightmare and second foray into the Universal Monsters universe with Wolf Man, now streaming on Peacock.

This contemporary reimagining of the iconic werewolf tale promises a visceral and deeply unsettling experience. It plunges viewers into the terrifying depths of human transformation and the primal darkness that lurks beneath the surface.

A Descent into Darkness
Christopher Abbott plays Blake, burdened by the unraveling of his marriage and the chaos of urban life, retreats with his wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner), to the isolation of a cabin. Accompanied by their young daughter (Matilda Firth) they embark on what they desperately hope will be a peaceful escape.

However, their idyllic retreat swiftly and brutally descends into a nightmarish ordeal. As they approach the isolated farmhouse, a primal predator emerges from the encroaching shadows. This primal predator shatters their illusion of safety, turning their haven into a terrifying trap. Driven by instinct, the family is forced to barricade themselves inside the house, desperately seeking protection from the predator that stalks them.

However, Blake undergoes a disturbing and increasingly unsettling metamorphosis as the night continues. Soon, his actions become erratic, and his eyes are wild, hinting at a horrifying transformation that threatens to consume him entirely. The creeping dread intensifies with each passing moment. Then comes the realization that a monster might be taking hold within the walls of their refuge.

Wolf Man is brought to life by the creative forces of Blumhouse founder and CEO Jason Blum, who serves as a producer alongside actor Ryan Gosling. Executive producers include Leigh Whannell, Beatriz Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Ken Kao. The film is a collaborative effort from Universal Pictures and Blumhouse, with Cloak & Co. and Gosling/Waypoint Entertainment production.
