The upcoming Norwegian monster movie, Kraken, is set to bring the legendary sea creature to the big screen. The trailer gives you a taste of the monster mayhem to come when the legendary beast is unleashed.
Directed by Pål Øie (The Tunnel), Kraken follows a marine biologist who, while researching a fjord, encounters a series of strange occurrences and the brutal deaths of two local teenagers. Her investigation leads her to a troubling discovery: at the bottom of Norway’s deepest fjord, a mythical monster as large as a mountain with myriad crushing arms lies in wait.
The film stars Sara Khorami, Mikkel Bratt Silset, Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes, Steinar Klouman Hallert, and Jenny Evensen. Vilde Eide wrote the screenplay. Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired the US distribution rights.
