Just when you thought it was safe to trust a ladder again, the franchise that turned a rusty TV tower into the ultimate architectural nightmare is back.
The first official trailer has dropped for Fall 2: Deadpoint, the highly anticipated sequel to Fall from 2022. If the first film made you swear off climbing high objects, this follow-up is designed to make you terrified of the entire planet.
A Killer Climb
The original film tapped into our collective fear of heights by leaving two best friends stranded on a platform 2,000 feet in the air. This time around, the franchise is upgrading its scenery but multiplying the danger.
In Deadpoint, another pair of thrill-seeking friends decide to take on the treacherous, vertical rock faces of Thailand. Naturally, what starts as an influencer-worthy vacation quickly devolves into a brutal battle against gravity. The sequel promises next-level adrenaline by introducing unforgiving, unpredictable tropical terrain that crumbles at the worst moments. There’s extreme, dizzying exposure with zero safety nets. And there’s absolutely nowhere to hide from the elements—or whatever else goes wrong on a sheer cliffside.
The New Climbers in Chief
Steering this stress-inducing expedition are The Spierig Brothers (Predestination, Jigsaw). They took over the director’s chairs to inject their signature tension into the franchise.
The screenplay is penned by the original architectural sadists, Jonathan Frank and Scott Mann, who also created the characters that keep getting stuck in high places. A massive production team, including James Harris, Mark Lane, Scott Mann, David Haring, and Christian Mercuri, is back to ensure the visual scale looks appropriately terrifying.
Hoping they don’t look down is a brand-new, incredibly talented trio of actors. Harriet Slater (Pennyworth) stars alongside Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) and Tom Brittney (Greyhound).
