This October, Charles Schulz’s timeless television masterpiece, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, officially turns 60 years old. To celebrate six decades of rocks in trick-or-treat bags and nighttime vigils, Craft Recordings is pulling out all the nostalgic stops with a magical, limited-edition vinyl reissue.

The centerpiece of this diamond-anniversary celebration is a gorgeous, eye-catching 45 RPM zoetrope LP. As the record spins on your turntable, the specially illustrated disc creates a breathtaking moving animation of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang right before your eyes.

The jacket also features a brand-new, reflective essay written by Sean Mendelson—son of the special’s legendary original producer, Lee Mendelson—offering an intimate look at how this perennial holiday tradition came to life in 1966.

Of course, the true magic lies within the grooves. The album preserves every note of Vince Guaraldi’s definitive, melancholic jazz score. Lovingly restored in its entirety from the original master tapes discovered back in 2022, the tracklist includes seasonal staples like the haunting “Graveyard Theme,” the whimsical “The Great Pumpkin Waltz,” and the timeless rhythm of “Linus and Lucy,” alongside a nostalgic collection of rare, behind-the-scenes studio outtakes.
