If you like your medical thrillers with a heavy dose of manipulation and a side of pure delusion, your next obsession has arrived. Independent Film Company has unleashed the official trailer for Night Nurse. It is a sleek, neon-drenched neo-noir that explores what happens when professional boundaries don’t just blur—they entirely evaporate. The psychosexual thriller is set to hit theaters and digital platforms on July 10, 2026.
Bad Medicine & Cursed Calls
The film introduces us to Eleni, a young woman starting a new job at a luxury retirement community. Instead of a quiet gig handing out meds, Eleni finds herself inexplicably drawn into a shady underworld of scam calls targeting the wealthy, elderly residents. It’s an addictive pull she can’t quite name—and definitely can’t resist. As the strange rhythms of the community close in around her, she grows increasingly intimate with her elusive patient, Douglas. Soon enough, the line between genuine care and dangerous desire completely vanishes. And she spirals into a web of devotion, delusion, and outright fraud.
The Cast & Creative Team
Behind the camera, Georgia Bernstein makes an incredibly assured feature directorial and writing debut. She is backed by an impressive producing team, including Edwin Linker, Liane Cunje, Veronica Barbosa, and Lucy Rogers, with executive producers Eddie Linker, Eric Ashworth, Stephen Lanus, and Amar Gupta.
The film’s gripping tension is anchored by a phenomenal mix of rising indie talent and seasoned genre icons. Newcomer Cemre Paksoy stars as the conflicted Eleni, playing opposite veteran actor Bruce McKenzie as her elusive patient, Douglas. Horror royalty Mimi Rogers (Ginger Snaps, The X-Files) brings her unmistakable presence to the ensemble. Jeff Hiller continues a hot streak after his standout turn in Apple TV+’s acclaimed horror-comedy Widow’s Bay.

Between the telephone scams and the deeply unhealthy bedside manner, Night Nurse is shaping up to be the ultimate summer sweat-inducer.
