SYFY’s favorite cosmic survival simulator is back. The Ark” is officially returning for Season 3, and because space apparently wasn’t dangerous enough, the crew of Ark 1 is about to pull a classic “divide and conquer.” Today, the network dropped the official trailer for the upcoming season, which blasts onto screens July 29th.

Location, Location, Location… and Liability

Season 3 picks up right after the crew successfully establishes their shiny new colony, Homebase 1. But because a quiet life in the suburbs of space makes for terrible television, things get complicated fast:

The Away Team: Captain Garnet and a brave (or perhaps just overly optimistic) crew are heading back into the void. Their mission? Scour the cosmos for other Earth survivors who didn’t get the memo.

The Home Team: The rest of the crew stays behind to decorate Homebase 1 and explore the neighborhood. Naturally, they stumble upon an unsettling planetary secret that instantly ruins the housewarming party and makes everyone question just how “safe” this new world really is.

The Manifest (Cast & Crew)

The series stars its usual roster of resilient spacefarers: Christie Burke, Reece Ritchie, Richard Fleeshman, Pavle Jerinic, Stacey Read, Ryan Adams, and Tiana Upcheva. Rounding out the ranks are Shalini Peiris, Samantha Glassner, and Diana Bermudez.

Behind the curtain, the sci-fi machinery is run by co-showrunners/executive producers Dean Devlin and Jonathan Glassner, alongside Marc Roskin, John-Paul Nickel, and Rachel Olschan-Wilson of Electric Entertainment. Jonathan English (Balkanic Media), Madeline Hendricks Lewen, Brandon Lambdin, and Mark Franco (Electric Entertainment) serve as producers.
