Well, it turns out that behind the candy-colored facade of the hit show “It’s Buddy!”, the magical creature doesn’t handle workplace insubordination very well.
Roadside Attractions and Saban Films have teamed up with the twisted minds at BoulderLight Pictures and Low Spark Films to bring you BUDDY.

On the surface, the show “It’s Buddy!” is a dream come true. It’s a vibrant, whimsical world. Perfectly synchronized children spend their days singing, dancing, and helping their favorite horned mascot spread mandatory happiness.
However, the cheerful music stops when one child refuses to stick to the script. Turns out, Buddy doesn’t do constructive criticism. As the rogue kid pushes back, the studio’s pastel walls begin to fracture, exposing a terrifyingly dark underbelly beneath the happiest show on Earth. If you thought dealing with a toddler’s tantrum was rough, try surviving a disgruntled, anthropomorphic corporate mascot.
The Creative Team Behind the Madness
If you’re wondering how a children’s show got turned into a nightmare, look no further than the director’s chair. BUDDY is directed by horror-comedy savant Casper Kelly (Adult Swim’s Too Many Cooks), who co-wrote the script alongside Jamie King.
The project boasts an absolute powerhouse production team, including producers Tyler Davidson, Drew Sykes, Raphael Margules, J.D. Lifshitz, and Tracy Rosenblum.
The massive roster includes Kevin Flanigan, Dexter Braff, Roberto Linck, Nathan McAuley, Emilio Schenker, Gideon Tadmor, Adam J. Wilde, Geoff Yaw, Ryan J. Kelly, Casper Kelly, and Jamie King.
A Stacked, Star-Studded Cast
A premise this delightfully unhinged requires a cast that can balance pitch-black humor with absolute dread, and BUDDY delivers in spades. Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, The Resort), Delaney Quinn (Black Mirror), Patton Oswalt (The Sandman), and Michael Shannon (Knives Out) star. Topher Grace (That ’70s Show) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele) round out the cast.
