The Four Nations officially converged on Comic-Con® International’s iconic Hall H yesterday, marking a historic first for the Avatar Legends franchise. Moderated by the original voice of Korra, Janet Varney, the star-studded panel celebrated the highly anticipated premiere of the feature film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender, while dropping a major bombshell: the brand-new animated series Avatar: Seven Havens will premiere globally on Paramount+ on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Adult Aang Takes the Stage

The Hall H panel featured an exclusive conversation with Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender cast members Eric Nam, Dave Bautista, Román Zaragoza, Jessica Matten, and Dionne Quan, alongside franchise co-creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino, and director Lauren Montgomery. The creative team gave fans an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing the beloved ‘Gaang’ into adulthood.

The feature film Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender premieres globally on Paramount+ on Saturday, July 25 at 12:00 AM PT / 3:00 AM ET. Directed by Lauren Montgomery alongside co-directors Steve Ahn and William Mata, the film features a screenplay penned by Tim Hedrick and Christopher Yost, based on a story by Konietzko, DiMartino, Hedrick, and Kenneth Lin. Latifa Ouaou, Maryann Garger, Konietzko, and DiMartino serve as producers.

A New Era Begins: Avatar: Seven Havens

Franchise creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko unveiled details for Avatar: Seven Havens, an all-new 26-episode, 2D-animated original series divided into two 13-episode chapters (Book 1 and Book 2).

Set in a world shattered by a devastating cataclysm, the series follows a young Earthbender named Pavi who discovers she is the Avatar following Korra’s era. However, in this dark new landscape, the Avatar title marks her as humanity’s destroyer rather than its savior. Hunted by both humans and spirits, Pavi and her long-lost twin must unravel their mysterious origins to save the world’s last remaining strongholds.

The voice cast features Saheli Khan as Pavi, Aishu Devan as Nisha, Akshay Khanna as Karthik, Major Curda as Jae, Sakina Jaffrey as Agam, Darren Barnet as Daemin, Dianne Doan as Zi, and franchise icon Dee Bradley Baker as Geet and Ruhi. Ethan Spaulding serves as executive producer alongside DiMartino and Konietzko, with Sehaj Sethi serving as co-executive producer.

Games, Vinyl, & Concert Tour Announcements

The Hall H crowd was also treated to a flurry of additional universe expansions. The developers revealed that Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is available starting today across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Attendees also got a first look at the official Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender soundtrack artwork, the cover for the upcoming Art of the Movie book, and the official Avatar: The Last Airbender Book 3 Vinyl, alongside announced new tour dates for The Legend of Korra in Concert.
