Quiver Distribution has released the official trailer for A Mother’s Secret, a tense, claustrophobic psychological horror-thriller coming straight to home screens late this summer.
Directed and written by Patrick Q. Roberts, the film crafts a terrifying exploration of postpartum anxiety, domestic paranoia, and long-buried history that refuses to stay underground.
Renovations, Secrets, and a Stranger in the Nursery
For new mother Kenzie Carter (Emily Hall), transforming an old estate into her family’s dream home was supposed to be a fresh start. Instead, it becomes a nightmare when contractors uncover a decayed corpse hidden inside the house’s framing during renovations. The gruesome discovery sends Kenzie into a severe tailspin of paranoia and terrifying, violent hallucinations involving her infant daughter, Anna.
Distracted by his own grueling work schedule and increasingly concerned for his wife’s mental state, Kenzie’s husband Eric (Nathan Owens) hires a live-in nanny to help carry the load. Enter Genevieve (Kara Hayward), a serene, watchful nanny who forms an eerie, instantaneous connection with baby Anna.
As Kenzie’s grip on sanity cracks, local law enforcement—led by Detective Greta Palmer (Abi Van Andel)—identifies the body found in the drywall. The discovery unearths a dark, forgotten history connected to the house, exposing a deadly secret that threatens to destroy Kenzie’s family from the inside out.
