The nightmare centers on Shelly. She’s a young woman whose daily life is consumed by the debilitating agony of chronic sleep paralysis and night terrors. In a desperate bid for answers and relief, two college students use her as the subject for their film project. However, what starts as a routine documentary recording her restless nights rapidly devolves. It becomes something far more sinister. As the cameras roll, they capture terrifying occurrences that extend far beyond simple medical anomalies.

The project is rooted in the horror movies that shaped his upbringing. It also takes inspiration from Brucker’s own memories of growing up on an isolated farm.
