Shudder has unveiled the official trailer for Hallowarrior, a post-apocalyptic thriller delivering a bloody blend of wasteland warfare and holiday mayhem. Following its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival, the feature marks the directorial debut of Ben Sottak, who also produced the film alongside Emmajane Hoffman under the Strange Eons banner, in partnership with The Spitting Image and The Dazey Phase.
Wasteland Survival Meets Halloween Tradition
The film stars Milly Shapiro (Hereditary) as Pumpkin, a solitary survivor navigating a desolate Earth after a catastrophic global plague. Believing she is the last living human, Pumpkin spends Halloween scavenging for supplies to honor her favorite holiday quietly. Her annual tradition turns violent when a gang of savage raiders discovers her location. This forces her to defend her home against overwhelming odds.
A Cast of Genre Veterans
Shannyn Sossamon (Sinister 2) stars as Thalia, the ruthless leader of the raiding party. To survive the assault, Pumpkin relies on a lethal mix of heavy weaponry, improvised sugary traps, and tactical resourcefulness. The ensemble cast of horror favorites also includes AJ Bowen (You’re Next) and Ajani Russell (Skate Kitchen).
Streaming Premiere Details
Hallowarrior serves as a high-octane homage to post-apocalyptic cinema and seasonal horror traditions. The film will stream exclusively on Shudder starting October 16, offering genre fans a gore-filled action entry just in time for Halloween.
