Get ready, pop culture fans! Paramount+ is bringing an unbelievable, high-powered slate of hit franchises straight to New York Comic Con this October. From October 8 through October 10, con-goers will get exclusive first looks, star-studded cast panels, and major franchise reveals. That includes three fan-favorite universes: Dexter: Resurrection, Avatar: Seven Havens, and Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Dexter Celebrates 20 Years with Killer NYCC Reveals
The Dexter franchise is taking center stage on Thursday, October 8, on the Main Stage to celebrate two decades of television’s favorite serial killer. Hosted by Josh Horowitz, the Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 panel features stars Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, Jack Alcott, Bokeem Woodbine, and Krysten Ritter, along with showrunner Clyde Phillips. Fans will also get an explosive look at Season 2, which finds Dexter Morgan caught between two deadly serial killers and a mid-life crisis.
Beyond the panel, die-hard fans can step directly into the killer’s shoes at The Dexter 20th Anniversary Museum Experience. It is running October 9–11 at Chelsea Industrial. This immersive pop-up features iconic props and interactive photo sets. There will also be an on-site blood drive hosted with the New York Blood Center.
Avatar: Seven Havens Takes Over Premiere Day
Four Nations fans have a massive reason to celebrate on Friday, October 9! The Main Stage will host an exclusive panel for Avatar: The Last Airbender. It falls on the day of its global premiere on Paramount+. Moderated by Janet Varney (the voice of Korra), the panel reunites co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko alongside voice stars Saheli Khan, Aishu Devan, and Major Curda. The brand-new 2D-animated series follows a young Earthbender who discovers she is the new Avatar, carrying on Korra’s legacy in a cataclysm-ravaged world.
The action extends well beyond the stage, too. Attendees can drop by the Avatar Legends Booth (#1723) for exclusive Reebok collaboration footwear and interactive photo moments. Meanwhile, gamers can head over to OS: NYC for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game tournament, complete with high-stakes prizes and a Four Nations Food Cart.
Star Trek Marks 60 Years with Starfleet Academy
The weekend wraps up in spectacular sci-fi style on Saturday, October 10. The “Star Trek Universe” panel takes the Empire Stage. Academy Award winner Holly Hunter will join Showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau. Cast members Sandro Rosta, Bella Shepard, Karim Diané, and Robert Picardo will deliver an exclusive sneak peek at Season 2 of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. The upcoming season tests the cadets aboard the USS Athena with intense rivalries, complex diplomacy, and the arrival of a mysterious new classmate.
However, it doesn’t stop there. Making the event even more legendary, the panel will feature an extraordinary anniversary appearance by William Shatner. Honoring 60 iconic years of the Star Trek franchise and its enduring legacy across generations.
