Out this week, Hulu’s new LBGTQ+ horror-thriller Jagged Mind, from director Kelley Kali, sees a woman plagued by visions and a sense of reliving her days over and over.
Written by Allyson Morgan, the film stars Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Shannon Woodward,
Jagged Mind sees a woman plagued by blackouts and strange visions that lead her to discover she’s stuck in a series of time loops, possibly related to her mysterious new girlfriend.
The film, which made its world premiere at the American Black Film Festival, is based on the short film “First Date,” which was included in the first season of 20th Digital Studio’s “Bite Size Halloween.” The feature is part of the studio’s existing slate of horror features for Hulu, including Grimcutty, Matriarch, Clock, and the upcoming films Appendage and The Mill.
20th Digital Studio developed Jagged Mind with David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle as executive producers. Daniela Ruiz produced under her Palabra Productions banner. Kelley Kali and Congyu E also produce.
Jagged Mind premieres exclusively on Hulu on June 15, 2023.
