Writer-director Curry Barker’s award-winning short horror film, The Chair, is taking the horror world by storm, and rightfully so. So, of course, we have to share it.
.
The Chair centers on “Reese (Anthony Pavone), who brings home an antique chair, and a series of horrific events follow, leading him to question if it is a malevolent spirit possessing the chair or the darkness inside his own mind.”
Haley Schwartz gives a fantastic, eerie performance in the short film that also stars Jonnathon Cripple and David Alan Graf.
The brilliant 24-minute-long film is a fantastic, twisted, dark tale that we would love to see adapted for a feature film. It serves as a metaphor for the suffering of people with illnesses such as Alzheimer’s, which in reality, is absolutely terrifying.
Currently, The Chair has had over 835,000 views. Who knew that a chair could cause such horrors?
