Bad President actress Dawna Lee Heising has now joined the cast of the pirate action-thriller Cursed Waters, the upcoming big-budget feature film written by B.J. Mezek and Adam Werth, who is directing.
Dawna plays cult member Evelyn and joins the outstanding cast that includes Glenn Plummer, B.J. Mezek, John Wells, Robert LaSardo, Vernon Wells, Costas Mandylor, Michael Pare, Tom Proctor, Greg Tally, Anne Marie Olsen, Maritza Brikisak, Denny Nolan, Lance Caver, and more.
In the film, “After their ship sinks during a naval battle, a group of pirates flee to a nearby island. However, the island is more than it seems. As they try to evade capture by the Navy, they soon find that the island is inhabited by a terrifying cult. What other secrets does this island hold? Can the pirates survive? Can they escape?”
Dawna has acted in over 220 feature films, including Param Gill’s Bad President, starring Eddie Griffin, and Alien Storm, starring Tom Arnold. She has won over 495 film awards and is trained in Tang Soo Do martial arts, ballet, and pole dancing. She is a former Miss Los Angeles Chinatown, Ms. US World, Ms. World, Ms. Universe, Miss San Francisco Universe, Miss Orange County Universe, Miss California Hemisphere, and Mrs. California United States, among many other titles. She was the Queen of the 2021 Kaiju Film Festival, the 2019 Hollywood Silver Screen Film Festival Queen, as well as the 2018 WIND International Film Festival Queen. Dawna is the VP of Aki Aleong’s Mustard Seed Media Group. Her family carries a film legacy, with her uncle being the legendary director of photography Tak Fujimoto who worked on the iconic horror films Silence of the Lambs and Sixth Sense.
Cursed Waters is set to begin filming this month.
