The highly anticipated film Dune: Part II was set to premiere this November. Sadly, fans will have to wait a little longer. Warner Bros. has now announced it has been delayed by several months.
Starring Timothée Chalamet, the sequel to 2021’s hit follows Paul Atreides a young man with a great destiny, who unites with Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Director Denis Villeneuve returns to direct Part II, which also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, and Josh Brolin, who are also returning. Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux, Tim Blake Nelson, Austin Butler, and Christopher Walken also star, rounding out the impressive cast.
Villeneuve directed from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Spaihts, which is based on the novel by Frank Herbert. The film is produced by Mary Parent, Cale Boyter, Villeneuve, Tanya Lapointe, and Patrick McCormick. The executive producers are Josh Grode, Herbert W. Gains, Jon Spaihts, Thomas Tull, Byron Merritt, and Kim Herbert.
Dune: Part II is now set to premiere on March 15, 2024, from Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.
