When it comes to horror, everyone knows the name James Wan. Wan is the twisted mind behind some of horror’s biggest franchises. That includes the SAW franchise, the Insidious franchise, and The Conjuring Universe. Wan is now moving to the small screen. He is producing the new upcoming mystery series titled “Nowhere,” which features “supernatural thriller elements.”

The show is billed as a high-concept mystery in the vein of “From,” “Manifest,” and “La Brea.” A group of people awake to find that all the people of their remote Vermont town have seemingly vanished overnight. The group, led by the town’s former sheriff, begins a search for their missing loved ones. Along the way, numerous supernatural anomalies come to light.

Nowhere” was born as a novella by Matthew Arnold. Not only is the series coming, but Arnold is also in the process of adapting it into a novel. Arnold, the series creator, will also serve as showrunner and executive producer.

Wan’s Atomic Monster is producing alongside Roy Lee for Vertigo Entertainment, Antihero Entertainment, and Room 101, which brought you the Paranormal Activity franchise.

“Nowhere” will air on NBC. The cast should be announced soon.

James Wan‘s most recent films include The Nun II, SAW X, and Insidious: The Red Door. They are now streaming and are available on Blu-ray.
