Jordan Peele fans, rejoice! The wait for his next film is nearly over. Monkeypaw Productions and Universal Pictures have unveiled the first details surrounding Him, a psychological horror thriller. The first news includes that the film will star comedian and actor Marlon Wayans (pictured). Waynan is best known for his comedic roles in White ChicksLittle Man, Scary Movie, and Air.

The film centers around a legendary quarterback, played by Wayans, who takes a promising young athlete (Tyriq Withers) under his wing. Withers’ character trains at a secluded facility overseen by Wayans, hinting at a dark undercurrent to their pursuit of excellence.

Julia Fox (“Uncut Gems”) brings her edge to the cast. Tim Heidecker (“Tim & Eric”) and Jim Jefferies add their comedic talents. Hip-hop stars Guapdad 4000 and Grammy-nominated Tierra Whack make their feature film debuts, adding fresh energy to the cast.

Described as a “blood-chilling journey into the inner sanctum of fame, power, and the pursuit of excellence at any cost,” Him promises to explore the dark side of ambition under the direction of Justin Tipping. The acclaimed screenprint by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie was lauded as one of the best-unproduced works in 2022.

Jordan Peele‘s Monkeypaw Productions recently released Monkey Man, starring Dev Patel. Peele is also collaborating with video game legend Hideo Kojima on a yet-to-be-revealed horror game.

Originally slated for a Christmas 2024 release under the title “GOAT,” Him was delayed due to Hollywood labor strikes. Gear up for a chilling cinematic experience; Him arrives in theaters next year.
