Jeff Franklin, the mastermind behind the beloved classic sitcom “Full House” and its Netflix sequel “Fuller House,” is venturing into uncharted territory – horror.

Variety reports that Franklin is co-producing a new horror film titled Murder with the Stars. The project reunites Franklin with screenwriter Craig Shoemaker and actor Jonathan Silverman. Shoemaker, a veteran stand-up comedian, and motivational speaker penned the screenplay. Silverman, known for his comedic roles in films like Weekend at Bernie‘s, will take on both directing and acting duties for Murder with the Stars.

While specific plot details remain a mystery, Shoemaker hints at a unique and entertaining concept. He describes the creative process as effortless, fueled by the collaboration with his longtime friends Franklin and Silverman. Shoemaker even throws in a pun, playfully calling them a “killer team” – a fitting description for a horror movie collaboration.

Pelican Point Media will produce Murder with the Stars. The company has a diverse portfolio, including horror and comedy films, including Cabin Fever (2016).

This news comes as a surprise to many. Franklin is synonymous with family-friendly sitcoms. However, his foray into horror suggests a willingness to explore new creative avenues. With a talented team and a promising concept, Murder with the Stars has the potential to be a darkly comedic treat for horror fans. Stay tuned for further details about this unexpected horror collaboration.
