Shaun of the Dead star Nick Frost is back with Get Away. Get Away is described as a comedic slasher and follows a family on a vacation that has gone horribly wrong. The family soon discovers that they are sharing their much-needed island vacation spot with a deadly serial killer.

Aisling Bea (This Way Up) and Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper) are joining Nick Frost in the upcoming killer horror-comedy. Jouko Ahola and Eero Milonoff round out the cast.

The director of Get Away,  Steffan Haars, has expressed his excitement for the project.

“I am super hyped that ‘Get Away’ found its perfect partner in IFC Films and Shudder to bring the film to North American audiences. We can’t wait to invite everyone on this killer trip with the Smith family to the unwelcome island of Svälta.”

Nick Frost is best known for his multiple collaborations with filmmaker Edgar Wright and numerous films starring alongside Simon Pegg. Their first film, the zombie movie Shaun of the Dead, quickly became a cult classic after its release in 2004. It was followed by Hot Fuzz, an action-packed cop movie set in a rural English town. Let’s not forget the alien comedy Paul, which sees Frost and Pegg encounter an alien voiced by Seth Rogan.

Get Away will have its world premiere at Fantastic Fest this September, followed by its arrival in theaters on December 6 from IFC, and will premiere on Shudder at a later date, sometime in 2025.

Here’s a look back at the Shaun of the Dead trailer, which is now available on Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home.
