Séance, a new period horror movie, will make its World Premiere at the Newport Beach Film Festival this Friday, October 18th. It sees Vivan Kerr play multiple roles, including writer, director, producer, and star.

The film follows novelist Emma Strand (Scottie Thompson). On vacation at the seaside in 1892, California, with her second husband, Albert (Connor Paolo), she encounters her first husband, George (Jilon VanOver), and his new wife, Lillian (Vivian Kerr). Emma and Albert take refuge from a sudden storm at George and Lillian’s mansion. Throughout the evening, Emma must confront her past. There is also the disturbing possibility the house is haunted by George and Lillian’s daughter, Hazel.

Written and directed by Vivian Kerr, Séance is a chilling tale filled with suspense and psychological intrigue. Alex and Angela Brisbourne, Steven Clark, Suresh Cedrick Pereira, Sanatan Kadakia, Savannah Lindblad, Rachel Stander, and Makenna Tuttle produce.

The film features fantastic cinematography. It was shot by Johanna Coelho, who recently completed two seasons of ABC’s “The Rookie” and is currently filming the series “The Pitt” for Max.

Before its screening debut, the trailer teases a movie filled with thrills, chills, and broken hearts. Want more info about film festivals? We’ve got you covered with news and reviews. Check out our Festival category now.
