Capstone Studios has now announced the upcoming survival thriller Coyote, an action-packed movie starring Justin Long (Barbarian, Jeepers Creepers) and Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns, 21).
Coyote follows a family fighting for survival during a raging wildfire in the Hollywood Hills. To make matters worse, a pack of crazed, hungry coyotes is also on the prowl. When Long and Bosworth become the hunted, their already terrifying experience turns into horror.
Colin Minihan, the visionary behind What Keeps You Alive and the Grave Encounters franchise, is directing this on the edge-of-your-seat movie. Tad Daggerhart and Nick Simon, who have previously worked on projects like The Pyramid and The Girl in the Photographs, wrote the screenplay.
“We are thrilled to be collaborating with Gramercy Park on this electrifying tale of a family facing dual threats from the firestorm threatening to engulf their home and a pack of hungry coyotes caught up in the maelstrom,” said Ruzanna Kegeyan of Capstone Studios.
Producer Nathan Klingher added, “We are elated to have Capstone on board to help us bring this incredible tale to audiences worldwide. With Colin Minihan directing such sympathetic actors as Justin and Kate, and a tautly paced script from Tad and Nick, we are certain that the film will be a real nail-biter experience for viewers.”
Production for the movie Coyote is currently underway in Bogota, Colombia. We will keep you updated as more details surface. In the meantime, watch director Minihan’s What Keeps You Alive on Apple TV, AMC+, Prime Video, or IFC. The film sees a couple betrayed on their first anniversary.
