Action Xtreme has unleashed two brand-new clips from its upcoming, turbo-charged action-thriller Bad Day at the Office, offering genre fans a front-row seat to pure, unadulterated cinematic chaos. Get ready. It’s making its World Premiere as the opening-night film for the Midnight Madness section at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on August 13.
Shot entirely from a first-person perspective. It uses GoPro camera rigs. The film transforms the traditional action-thriller formula into a high-octane, interactive nightmare. Every bone-crunching punch, high-speed chase, and massive explosion is experienced directly through the eyes of the protagonist. This makes the audience feel less like passive viewers and more like they’ve been handed the controller.
A Stacked Cast in the Line of Fire
Director Chee Keong Cheung has assembled an impressive ensemble cast for the mayhem. John Hannah (The Mummy) leads the cast in a brutally manic performance unlike anything in his career.
Joining him in the crosshairs are Radha Mitchell (Pitch Black, Silent Hill). Lana Parrilla (Once Upon a Time) and Tamer Hassan (The Football Factory) co-star. Tim Fellingham (Final Destination 5), Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones), Branko Tomović (24: Live Another Day), and Victor Gardener (Fast & Furious 6) round out the cast.
Clocking In For Carnage
The madness kicks off when Karl (John Hannah) regains consciousness in a trashed hotel suite. The splitting headache he’s nursing isn’t from a heavy night of drinking. Karl has zero memory of who he is, where he is, or how he got there. Things quickly escalate from confusing to catastrophic when he discovers a body in the tub. What’s worse? The police are pounding on the door.
Forced into a tense, reluctant partnership with hotel maid Molly (Radha Mitchell), Karl goes on the run through a lethal maze of dirty cops, shadowy conspiracies, and relentless hitmen. To survive the night, he’ll have to rely on a set of lethal, forgotten skills he didn’t even know he possessed.
