Listen up, gamers: GPTRACK50, the independent studio packed with veteran action-game devs, has just dropped a massive haul of news for their upcoming, over-the-top action-RPG Stupid Never Dies. From official launch dates and a SEGA publishing deal to “hot tub-ready” zombie companions and pop-punk tunes, here is everything you need to know.

The Big Announcements

Stupid Never Dies officially launches October 21, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam). A Japanese release follows on October 22. GPTRACK50 has teamed up with SEGA in a worldwide co-publishing agreement to handle global distribution.

Meet “Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers”: A brand-new trailer showcases a mysterious—and absurdly photogenic—entity named Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, whom zombie protagonist Davy encounters deep in the dungeon. Friend? Foe? Fashion icon? Watch below and decide for yourself.

What Is Stupid Never Dies?

Set in a monster-governed subterranean hellscape, this single-player 3D action-RPG puts you in the decaying shoes of Davy. He’s a timid, bottom-tier zombie fighting to revive his frozen human princess, Julia. However, to survive, you’ll defeat bizarre enemies, steal their abilities, and splice weird upgrades into Davy’s undead body in fast-paced, pop-punk-infused combat.

Editions & Pricing

The game will launch in 13 languages with support for full English audio.

Standard Edition ($49.99 USD): Base game.

Glorious Idiot Edition ($59.99 USD): Includes the base game plus the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack DLC.

What’s in the “Nonsense Overload” DLC Pack?

However, if you opt for the Glorious Idiot Edition, you get five game-modifying “TickTock Teddies.” Each slaps ridiculous visual gimmicks and music remixes onto Davy’s adventure.

Big Head: Turns Davy into a giant bobblehead and swaps in an ego-boosting combat track remix.

Chirp Chirp: Adds a squeaky footstep sound effect while in Zombie Style, paired with a new home base BGM.

Festival: Changes hit sounds during Davy Burst mode and adds an energetic BGM remix.

Romantic: Replaces Davy Burst’s graffiti visuals with a stylish new effect and sets the game’s main Theme as your ultimate music.

Splash: Gives Davy flashy new level-up visuals alongside a frantic “Hurry Up” track remix.

The Pop-Punk Soundtrack Hits Streaming

Need to get hyped before October? The game’s hard-hitting pop-punk theme songs drop on August 4 across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more:

Opening Theme: “Stupid Never Dies” (Performed by Davy & Julia) — A high-octane duet between our zombie hero and his frozen heroine.

Ending Theme: “Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless” (Performed by Davy) — A heartfelt, rock-heavy anthem detailing Davy’s quest to bring Julia back to the land of the living.
