Syzygy Publishing and Image Comics are officially reuniting to bring back their fan-favorite holiday horror anthology, Dread the Halls 2026. Returning for its third annual installment, this 48-page one-shot delivers four new tales. All with supernatural scares, pitch-black humor, and festive carnage.

Creators and writers Jordan Hart and Chris Ryall team up with talented artists Chris Anderson, Drew Rausch, Fabio Veras, and Well-Bee as they transform warm Christmas nostalgia into pure nightmare fuel.

Bizarre Monster Battles and Haunted Holiday Scares

However, this year’s lineup pushes the series into wildly chaotic new territory. The horror stories feature a bloody clash between elves and werewolves. There’s also haunted Christmas tree and self-aware parade floats. And a massive nutcracker battle unfolds above Hollywood.

Legendary painter Joe Jusko joins artists Maria Wolf and Jordan Hart. Together they create multiple horrific variant covers, including an homage to Jusko’s classic work that originally inspired the anthology series.

Pre-Order Details and New York Comic Con Appearance

Designed for fans who view seasonal slasher classics like Black Christmas, this anthology offers the perfect mix of monstrous absurdity and festive gore. Readers can pre-order Dread the Halls 2026 right now. Or wait to unwrap it at comic book shops on December 2, 2026. Additionally, comic enthusiasts can meet co-creators Jordan Hart and Chris Ryall in person as they showcase the project during New York Comic Con.
