Lionsgate gave horror fans a treat at the MidSummer Scream panel for The Strangers – Chapter 2. They revealed a brand-new clip and three new character posters, with director Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2) and producers Courtney Solomon and Mark Canton on hand to chat about the film.
Fans at the convention also got a sneak peek at the terror in Lionsgate’s “Gears of Fear 2: Stranger Danger” haunted maze.
The film, directed by Harlin and written by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland, stars Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Gabriel Basso (The Night Agent), and Ema Horvath.
This time, the strangers are back and more brutal than ever. After learning that one of their past victims, Maya (played by Madelaine Petsch), is still alive, they return to finish the job. With no one to trust and nowhere to run, Maya has to survive another horrific night of terror as the relentless strangers hunt her down, ready to kill anyone who gets in their way.
It sounds like a pulse-pounding, high-stakes game of cat and mouse where the stakes couldn’t be higher. Get ready for a return to form for one of modern horror’s most unsettling franchises! Get ready, The Stranger – Chapter Two slashes its way into theaters on September 26, 2025.
