Uncork’d Entertainment has officially acquired the horror/thriller feature Eyes of the Abyss, a relentless descent into psychological terror and brutal survival from acclaimed Argentine genre director Daniel de la Vega.

The film is set for release on Digital and On Demand platforms on October 7th.

The film sets a chilling scene against the historically charged backdrop of the South Atlantic in 1982. Eyes of the Abyss follows a solitary soldier, portrayed by Veronica Intile, who wakes up in the middle of the ocean aboard a warship. Her memory is fractured, and the corpses of her crew surround her. However, when mysterious, armed adversaries storm the ship, the woman is forced into a desperate attack mode. This triggers a primal fight for survival, forcing her to confront her blurred past and the perilous present.

Director Daniel de la Vega—known for his contributions to contemporary Latin American horror with titles like On The 3rd Day, The Last Heretic, and White Coffin—guides the audience through an unrelenting gauntlet of fear and paranoia. De la Vega penned the screenplay alongside Luciano Saracino and Gonzalo Ventura.

The distinguished cast includes Carolina Alfonsin, Kevin Schiele, Raumond Lee, Cristian Mariani, and Pablo Turturello.

The film has generated significant buzz. Exclusive footage screened at the prestigious 2024 Cannes Film Market as part of the Blood Window Showcase.

Keith Leopard, President of Uncork’d Entertainment, shared his enthusiasm for the latest addition to their slate:

“We are thrilled to be adding Eyes of the Abyss to our 2025 lineup. This film delivers a truly unique blend of wartime tension and intense horror, grounded by a powerful central performance. Our partnership with Del Toro Films underscores our commitment to elevating the genre and offering audiences cutting-edge, internationally acclaimed content.”

Prepare for an unforgettable journey into terror when Eyes of the Abyss hits digital platforms everywhere on October 7th.
