The first trailer is here for NBC/Universal’s new supernatural series ‘Midnight, Texas‘ from Niels Arden Oplev (Mr. Robot) who is directing from the script written by Monica Breen, producer for ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’.
‘Midnight, Texas’, an adaption of Charlaine Harris’ novels and is closely tied to ‘True Blood’, will be very different. There is a good chance that the two series will have a cross-over at some point. Vampires, witches, werewolves and the supernatural will be central to the story of the new show.
While it looks normal from the outside, Midnight is a safe haven for all supernatural beings, as well as humans, fortune tellers and other outcasts. In the town your neighbor could be a human, a vampire, a werewolf or even an angel, together they form a family. They residents must deal with bikers, police and other challenges, all while coping with each other.
The lead role of Manfred Bernardo, a powerful psychic and the new guy in town, will be played by François Arnaud (Blindspot). Orphan Black’s Dylan Bruce will be playing one of the main characters, Bobo Winthrop. Bobo is the owner of the local pawn shop and the owner of a lot of real estate. ‘Midnight, Texas’ will also star Jason Lewis, Joanne Camp, Parisa Fitz-Henley, John-Paul Howard, Bob Jesser, Arielle Kebbel, Shannon Lorance, Lora Martinez-Cunningham, Peter Mensah, Sarah Ramos, Kyle Pierson, Bernado Saracino, Kellee Stewart, and Tommy Truex. Monica Owusu-Breen (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and David Janollari (Six Feet Under) serve as executive producers for the series.
The premiere date for ‘Midnight, Texas’ has yet to be announced, but we will let you know when it is.
