After boarding ‘Candle Cove’ for the first season of ‘Channel Zero’, whose finale aired last night, showrunner Nick Antosca will enter a haunted house for season 2, ‘No-End House’.
The first season was inspired the creepypasta story ‘Candle Cove’. The second season, carrying on the creepypasta tradition, will premiere in 2017.
“This standalone, six-episode anthology series, inspired by Brian Russell’s Creepypasta, features Margot Sleator, played by Amy Forsyth (“The Path”), a young woman who visits the No-End House, a bizarre house of horrors that consists of a series of increasingly disturbing rooms. When she returns home, Margot realizes that everything has changed. John Carroll Lynch (“American Horror Story”) will co-star.”
When we spoke with Antosca last week he told us that next season will differ from the style of season one.
It’s very different stylistically. Candle Cove is an almost pastoral style. It’s very restrained. It’s very composed and there is this sense of lush greenery and sinister things lurking in the woods. NoEnd House is an almost suburban story in the sense of John Carpenter movies or It Follows, and it’s about a younger group of people and the visual style is more kinetic. Going into this, one goal was for each season to be very cinematically distinctive and to be a showcase for a different director [and talented DP.”
Steven Piet will be in the director’s chair for ‘Channel Zero: No-End House’. Summer H. Howell, Kim Huffman, Robert Borges, Sean Skene, and Echo Porisky have also joined the cast for the upcoming season.
The first teaser trailer has just arrived and in it we see someone loose their head.
