Last week reported that Michael Dougherty (Trick r’ Treat, Krampus) will be directing ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters‘, which he co-wrote with Zach Shields. Today, we have casting news.
Legendary has announced that ‘Stranger Things’ actress Millie Bobby Brown has signed on to star in the sequel to to 2014’s ‘Godzilla’ film. Brown, a very talented young actress, has been nominated for both a People’s Choice Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for her role as “Eleven” in the hit Netflix series that is now gearing up for its second season.
The plot for the sequel has not been revealed, but we do know that it is part of Legendary and Warner Bros. new monster universe that includes ‘Kong: Skull Island‘, arriving in theaters March 10th. ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’ is set to arrive in theaters on March 22, 2019, followed by ‘Godzilla vs King Kong’, to be released on May 29, 2020.
