Castle Rock, it’s a place Stephen King fans know well or at the very east they’re familiar with the name. It’s the fictional town in King’s home state of Maine, that is the setting for nine of the author’s works and is mentioned in two dozen others.
Hold on to your hats and what have you, my Little Monsters, we’re about to become a little more familiar this imaginary Maine locale.
With the help of J.J. Abrams, Mr. King will be releasing a limited run series on Hulu. The title of the series, if you haven’t already guessed, is Castle Rock and will be based on works written by King.
These two bespectacled creative geniuses previously collaborated on another Hulu original series 11.22.63, which was adapted from King’s novel of the same title. Castle Rock, as was 11.22.63, will be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Bad Robot, with Sam Shaw and Dusty Thomason being brought in this time to write the series.
There is no release date, pending or otherwise, as of yet. So keep a weather eye, my Little Monsters, because when we find out more, you can rest assured we will let you know. But for now here’s a little trailer to whet your collective appetites.
