Looks like Taylor Swift is channeling her inner Michael Jackson circa 1982. Either that, or she is doing an audition for ‘The Walking Dead’ that nobody expected.
The new video which was premiered at the MTV Music Video Awards last night is for the song ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and shows Swift killing off versions of herself one by one to bring in the new era of her career. I wonder what new era it is. I wonder what personalities she killed off because the song sounds just as angsty and whiny as all of her other hits, but that’s just my opinion…it doesn’t mean it’s a bad song, just not my cup o’ tea.
The cool part of this song is that it is a really cool little horror short. Directed by ‘Detention’ filmmaker Joseph Kahn, the film really does look cool. The makeup, sets, contrasts and atmosphere of the music video are a cool departure from the norm and, despite what I think of the music, I have to give Swift a hearty thumbs up for this.
