New ‘Alien’ Video Game Coming

 
 
A new first-person shooting video game set in the Alien universe is in the works over at FoxNext Games with Cold Iron Studios developing the game.
This will be the first Alien FPS since Aliens: Colonial Marines that was released in 2013 by SEGA and Gearbox Software. Colonial Marines was ripped apart by fans and critics and was subject to a class action lawsuit on the grounds of false advertising as the demos of the game that were shown at PAX and E3 had better graphics than the product that was released to gamers. SEGA settled the lawsuit and Gearbox was dropped from it.
The plot and more details about the upcoming game as of right now are under wraps so no confirmation if this is an original story set in the Alien franchise or if it’s directly connected. It is confirmed by FoxNext that the game is in the works along with a Planet of the Apes game as well. The game is set to be released on consoles as well a PC.
