We were ecstatic to report last month that the ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ spin-off series had been given the green light. Today, we have an update, the FX’s series has added four new names to the cast of the show’s pilot including the incredibly talented Shape of Water actor Doug Jones!
Jones, who also stars in the upcoming film Hell’s Kitty, ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ and played the Abe Sapien in Hellboy, is joined by Beanie Feldstein (Lady Bird), Jake McDorman (Lady Bird), and Mark Proksch (‘Better Call Saul’). The previously announced cast includes Kayvan Novak, Matt Berry, Natasia Demetriou, and Harvey Guillen.
The writers, directors, and stars of the original film, Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, will be serving as executive producers for the half-hour series. Waititi will be directing with Clement writing the scripts.
Other details of the series are being kept hush-hush at this point, but we will keep you posted.
