We’ve been talking about Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming film Once Upon A Time in Hollywood for a while now.
The cast list reads like a who’s who of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Roby, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Damien Lewis, Emile Hirsh, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr., Keith Jackson, Al Pacino, Nicholas Hammond.
One key role has gone unannounced, the actor playing the role of murderous cult leader Charles Manson. Well, we are happy to report that the character will be played by actor Damon Herriman, which has been confirmed by his PR company October Coast. Herriman does have a resemblance to Manson and he is talented – that was proved during his long run on “Justified”. The Australia born actor has appeared in many films and series like Riot, The Nightingale, Son of a Gun, “Incorporated”, “Quarry”, and “Secret City”, just to name a few.
Lewis has been cast as iconic actor Steve McQueen; Fanning will play Manson Family member Squeaky Fromme; Hammond will appear as Sam Wanamaker; Hirsch was cast as Jay Sebring, one of the Sharon Tate murder victims; Perry will play Scotty Lancer; Collins is Ernesto “The Mexican Vaquero”. Keith Johnson has been cast as “Land Pirate Keith”. Dicaprio stars as Rick Dalton, with Pitt playing the stunt double of Cliff Booth and the neighbor of Sharon Tate.
Tarantino, David Heyman, and Sharon McIntosh are producing.
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is set for an August 9, 2019 release.
