Earlier today it was announced that Jordan Peele‘s Us will make its premiere at SXSW this March. We’ve learned as a consequence, the official release date has been pushed back, but not by much.

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o stars as Adelaide Wilson, a woman returning to her beachside childhood home for a getaway along with her husband, Gabe (Winston Duke) and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex).

Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. Soon she will learn her worries are warranted.

After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover four figures standing at the bottom of their driveway.

Originally set to arrive in theaters on March 15, Us will now make its theatrical debut on March 22, 2019.
