On Valentine’s Day Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day 2U was released, while it didn’t take box offices by storm, it turned out to be a decent flick. It has now been announced that a third installment is on its way.
No details have been revealed but we have to assume that the three stars of both the first film and the sequel, Jessica Rothe, Isreal Broussard, and Phi Vu, will be returning.
Happy Death Day follows Tree (Rothe) as she wakes up time after time in Carter (Broussard) and Ryan’s (Phan) dorm room after living the same day until she uncovers who her killer is. In Happy Death Day 2 U all three of the friends are trapped in a Ground Hog’s Day style loop after Ryan’s machine triggers a loop. Last we saw the machine it had been confiscated by the government. I’m guessing this time the loop will be bigger.
