Things take a horrifying turn for the small town teacher (Keri Russell) in the first teaser trailer for Antlers, from producer Guillermo del Toro. In the teaser we see Russell looking absolutely terrified, a young boy (Jeremy Thomas) reading a dark story he’s written, a blood-smeared floor, and something evil lurking in the dark.
Directed by Scott Cooper and set in an Oregon village, the film also stars as Jesse Plemons, who is investigating the little boy’s secret. Graham Green, Amy Madigan, Scott Haze, and Rory Cochrane also star.
C. Henry Chaisson and Nick Antosca (“The Act”, “Channel Zero”) penned the script which is based on Antosca’s short story titled “The Quiet Boy.”
Fox Searchlight has set a 2020 release date that will later be announced.
