Sadly, this will be “Lucifer‘s” last season premiere filmed. It’s the last season, period. But, without Netflix jumping in to rescue the show after it was canceled by Fox, we wouldn’t have gotten last season or this one. We do have some good news though, Nextflix is giving fans six more episodes thank season 4, bringing the total episode count up to 16.
Season 4 found Chloe (Lauren German) trying to cope with the reality that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is exactly who he says he is, the devil. Just when she began to accept it, a gang of demons’ staged uprising forces Lucifer to return to his throne to protect those he cares about. But just before he left, he and Chloe finally confessed their love for each other. One thing that we prey happens this season is that the star-crossed lovers find their way back to each other.
Season 5 needs to address a lot. Season 4 left a few other things up in the air and the prophecy of Lucifer’s first love needs to be addressed. Everyone assumed his first love was Eve (Inbar Lavi), but it isn’t, it’s actually Chloe. Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) and Linda (Rachel Harris) now have to find a way to protect their baby, a Nephilim. Then there’s Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Eve’s new feelings for each other.
