Ewan McGregor stars as adult Danny Torrance in Mike Flanagan‘s Doctor Sleep, both an adaptation of King’s novel of the same name and the sequel to King’s classic The Shining. Today, the final trailer has arrived for Doctor Sleep and it’s incredible.

Flanagan rewrote Akiva Goldsman’sadaptation of King’s 2013 novel which picks up with Danny in his 40s, struggling with the scars of his time at the Overlook Hotel and the same demons of anger and alcoholism that plagued his father. Now, a new generation is in danger. But can he help them?

In the film, “On highways across America, a tribe of people called the True Knot travel in search of sustenance. They look harmless—mostly old, lots of polyester, and married to their RVs. But as Dan Torrance knows, and spunky twelve-year-old Abra Stone learns, the True Knot are quasi-immortal, living off the steam that children with the shining produce when they are slowly tortured to death.”

Alex Essoe plays the role of  Wendy Torrance. Carl Lumby, Kyliegh Curran, Bruce Greenwood, Rebecca Ferguson, Alyn Lind, and Jocelin Donahue also star. Jacob Tremblay plays the role of young Danny.

Doctor Sleep takes us back to the Overlook Hotel on November 8, 2019, from Warner Bros.
