We reported back in October that a series revival of the beloved serial killer series “Dexter” was headed your way with Michael C. Hall reprising his role as the title character.

Now, news has come via Variety that Clancy Brown, star of Pet Sematary Two and most recently The Mortuary Collection (now streaming on Shudder) has joined the cast and will play the role of Kurt Caldwell, the primary villain of the series.

The 10-episode limited series revival picks up ten years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the chaos of Hurricane Laura. The killer of killers is now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami.

The original series’ showrunner Clyde Phillips is also returning along with Marcos Siega, the director of nine episodes of the original series, who will direct six of the new episodes as well as executive produce.
