The cast continues to grow for the Netflix Addams Family spin-off series that centers on Wednesday (Jenna Ortega). The latest addition is “Game of Thrones” actress  Gwendoline Christie, who will play the role of “Larissa Weems,” the principal of Nevermore Academy, a boarding school in the countryside, who still has an ax to grind with her former classmate Morticia Addams, Netflix reports.

Christie joins previously announced cast members Ortega, Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, and Joy Sunday, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Moosa Mostafa, Georgie Farmer, Naomi J. Ogawa, Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, Thora Birch, and Riki Lindhome.

“The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

Tim Burton is directing as well as executive producing “Wednesday,” which will feature eight episodes in its first season. Smallville’s Al Gough and Miles Millar serve as showrunners and executive producers.
