When it comes to gaming, especially horror gaming, the sound is important to add to the experience and transport you into the game itself. To do this you need a good headset and one name is on the tongue of many gamers who never disappoints, ASTRO, right now one of the best headsets on the market is Astro’s A10 gaming headset, and now they’ve released the latest member of the family of headset products, the A10 Gen 2 and thanks to the awesome folks at Logitech G/Astro I was able to get my claws on a headset to try out for you!

The A10 G2’s come in Black, White, Mint, Grey, and Lilac (mine is in Grey), a subtle feature I noticed on the headset that may be ignored by many is that there’s brail on the inside of the headband indicating the Left and Right side making this product user friendly to those who are visually impaired. Upon putting the headset on they fit firmly but the padding on the band and the ears are very comfortable allowing a comfortably snug fit.

The headset comes with a detachable 3.5mm volume control cable and a 65mm PC cable splitter. I tried out the boom mic on an audio recording program and the sound quality of my voice was crystal clear, with other sounds in my room (a fan, and a loud aquarium filter) were not picked up on the mic. What I like about the mic is that it only activates when it’s flipped down, while it’s flipped up it shuts off providing privacy and no hot-mic embarrassments during dictation or conversations.

Now to the meat and potato of the product, the sound quality. depending on what you plug the headset into, you may have to do some readjusting of your audio settings (especially if this is your first time using a headset like this) on your device or in the game’s own audio settings, I had to when I tried out the headset while playing some Dying Light 2: Stay Human, once I got it locked in, it was amazing!

For those of you out there who are into limiting your carbon footprint, the A10 G2s are CarbonNeutral. The plastic parts making up the headset include post-consumer recycled content, and the paper packaging comes from FSCTM-certified forests. Overall, wearing the A10 G2 headset was surprisingly a comfortable experience, I wore it for 2 1/2 hours and have not experienced any discomfort. The lightweight frame and memory foam padding make this product perfect for all head sizes and allow hours of gameplay/ movie watching/ music listening/chatting in comfort. With the good sound quality, and the mic sounding clear, this headset is a must for a gamer who’s a fan of any genre of games, whether they’re a lone wolf gamer or like multiplayer games, the A10 Gen 2 is a great addition to a gamer’s arsenal.

I give the ASTRO A10 Gen 2 wired gaming headset a 10/10! If you wish to pick up your own pair you can check them out in the online store HERE, You can also find ASTRO on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Twitch.
