Session 9 is an incredibly under-appreciated horror film. Its director, Brad Anderson, who was also behind The Machinist is back after a few years of silence with his new psychological horror film simply titled, Blood.
Michelle Monaghan (“True Detective”) is set to star in the film alongside Skeet Ulrich of the Scream franchise, as well as Finlay Wojtak-Hissong (The Banana Splits Movie), June B. Wilde (Final Destination 5), and Skylar Morgan Jones of “The Vampire Diaries”.
In Blood, “As a six-year-old boy spirals into the depths of a mysterious illness, his mother discovers a disturbing cure, but to what extent will she go to keep her child alive?”
Will Honley penned the script for the movie produced by Paris Kassidokostas-Latsis, Terry Douglas, Gary Levinsohn, and Billy Hines. Executive producers include Jean-Luc De Fanti, Alexis Varouxakis, Max Work, Steven Sims, Ryan Bartecki, Brad Anderson, and Daniel Bekerman. Blood is from Hercules Film Fund, Rhea Films, and H2L Media Group.
